What our clients say

"Jane is easy to talk to and was very understanding of my situation. She was approachable, offered empathy but more importantly made me believe in myself again. Cannot recommend Jane highly enough"

Counselling specialisms

Jane specialises in counselling clients who have experienced childhood and adult trauma, and abuse. This might include sexual, emotional or physical abuse, and narcissistic abuse (which may be present in family, romantic and work relationships). Jane also supports survivors of domestic abuse.

Where appropriate, Jane can draw on interventions to process trauma, such as the Rewind Trauma Technique, to alleviate flashbacks and traumatic memory triggers.

Jane is also experienced in couples therapy. Whether couples want to re-romanticise their relationship, or separate amicably, Jane offers Imago relationship counselling to help romantic partners improve communication, build connection and move forward.

Jane is also a qualified clinical supervisor and offers integrative supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors. For qualified therapists, Jane can support you on your BACP accreditation journey.

Supporting our staff through Covid-19

Jane supported the clinicians at Your Healthcare CIC through the Covid-19 pandemic. This has given her intensive experience of working with depression, anxiety, burnout, compassion fatigue, chronic stress, trauma, and all forms of grief.

This period also formed the basis of a research paper. We were able to show that our approach to supporting our key workers during Covid-19 was effective. Staff were demonstrably better able to cope, compared with their peers. That experience now informs our services at Your Wellbeing, under Jane’s leadership.

Qualifications and counselling approach

Jane is committed to her development as a counsellor and therapist. She holds multiple qualifications, and has extensive training in a range of mental health issues and techniques. Jane also holds BACP accreditation which ‘demonstrates to clients that you have achieved high standards of knowledge, experience and development.’

She takes an integrative approach to counselling, drawing from a variety of techniques, including psychodynamic, humanistic, and behavioural therapies.

She champions a relational approach to the therapeutic relationship, building a non-judgemental and compassionate relationship with her clients.
